These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of pipshint.wiki (the "Site"), operated by Ellis Claire ("we", "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Terms are provided in English only. If we offer a translation, the English version prevails.

1. What the Site provides

Pips Hint provides hints and answers for the daily Pips puzzle published by The New York Times. The Site does not let you play the puzzle. The basic service is free to use.

2. Not affiliated with The New York Times

Pips Hint is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The New York Times. Pips and The New York Times are trademarks of their respective owner and are used here only to describe the puzzle our hints are for.

3. Using the Site

You agree not to:

use the Site for anything unlawful or to infringe anyone's rights;
try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems;
scrape or copy the Site in bulk, or resell it, without our written permission.

4. Accuracy

We work to keep hints and answers accurate, but the Site is provided for general information and convenience. Hints and answers are prepared automatically from each day's puzzle and may occasionally be wrong, incomplete, or late. If something looks wrong, please tell us.

5. Advertising

The Site shows ads provided by third parties such as Google. We are not responsible for the content of ads or the websites they link to.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, graphics, and code belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Site for your own personal purposes, but you may not copy or redistribute its content except as allowed by law.

7. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to or use third-party websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Disclaimer

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
